How Wireless Addressable Fire Alarm Systems Work
Our wireless addressable fire alarm solution uses a hybrid wired and wireless architecture.
Wireless smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual call points, and other compatible wireless devices communicate using radio frequency technology. Each wireless device is individually addressed, allowing the fire alarm system to identify the exact device associated with an alarm, fault, or system event.
Unlike a completely wireless system, the addressable sounders are wired to the fire alarm loop and form part of the communication network. The wireless devices communicate with the network through these devices, which transmit information back to the addressable fire alarm control panel.
This architecture significantly reduces the amount of cabling required because detection devices do not need individual wired connections back to the fire alarm system.
